UPS Extension Product Dimensions Not Working

I've signed up for a UPS account and installed the UPS shipping Module. I entered the dimensional and weight data for my product under the product data tab. Here is what I have noticed and the steps I have taken to date. Any help would be greatly appreciated...

1. UPS quotes from the cart and UPS quotes from ups.com were not matching. The cart rates are much cheaper.
2. I contacted UPS technical support. They mentioned that UPS sends rates to the shopping cart based on the information it received from my shopping cart. They felt the shopping cart was not passing accurate dimensional data.
3. I experimented... I kept the weight of my product the same but adjusted the dimensions... The rates did not change.
4. I then kept the dimensions the same but changed the weight... The rates did change.
5. I tried changing units from inches to cm and still it is not working.

I'm guessing that for some reason the UPS module is not properly passing dimensional data to UPS. Does anyone know how to fix this?
