Problem with category list in alphabetical order

I've added categories and sub categories according to the steps here: http://forum.opencart.com/index.php/topic,2665.0.html
But once I've add all the categories list is not in alphabetical order.

Can someone please help.

The categories list is (should be) sorted as per the sort order value that you define when you create/edit a category
