Hey guys, what do you think of the "Free PositiveSSL Certificates from Comodo" at Namecheap? (It's free if you purchase a domain there) Or $10 rapidSSL from Namecheap?
I'm thinking of getting an SSL certificate for OpenCart. What's the best option?

Whichever is cheapest. It is not required in most cases, just gives you a badge to display.

Not disputing that at all. I've had them, and I've not had them. Can't much tell the difference, but they never hurt.

My point was they are not necessary, and are mainly for buyer reassurance, so any with a badge to show on the page is all you need.

In accordance with section 4.2.2 (Validation Practices) of this CPS, PositiveSSL Certificates utilize third party domain name registrars and directories to assist with application validation in order to provide increased speed of issuance. Where possible, the third parties will be used to confirm the right to use the domain name used in the application. If the directory cannot be used to sufficiently validate a certificate applicant’s domain control, further validation processes may be used. These may include an out of bands validation of the applicant’s submitted information.
Due to the increased validation speed and the nature of how Comodo intends
PositiveSSL certificates to be used, the certificates carry no warranty.
PositiveSSL certificates are available from the following channels: Comodo Website, Reseller Network, Web Host Netowrk, PoweredSSL Network, and EPKI Manager.
