Selling products by Metre and Diameter

Hi,

I'm trying to set a store up selling rope. I've got a number of products which I would like to sell by the metre 1metre up to 250 metres, I also want to include the diameter of the rope which goes from 6mm up to 36mm. I've been using the excellent option plus module but I've come a bit stuck after only 45 products. Having the amount of option set up that I do it is crashing the server every time I try and save the options and I've still got thousands of products to go.

I've tried changing this so that the QTY box becomes the metre box and putting the diameter as an option. This seemed to work until I purchased two lots of rope to which it adds the metres together and does not say that I have ordered two lots rope.

I'm after some suggestions on the best way to set the site up, ideally a text box to enter the metre required but this would need to link into the shipping for the weight.

I'm sure you've discovered by now that OpenCart 1.5's options can do exactly what you want to do. Or did you get an older version to work?
