Hi folks,

I'm having a problem with my OC site at the mo - it's undergone a few mods and at the moment we've got an intermittent issue where there might be a big gap between the tab bar at the top and the page contents - e.g. Between tab bar and "Welcome to..." or "Contact us"

Also same issue on product listings, basket etc.

Site - emergencylightbars.co.uk

It doesn't happen 100% of the time, but today (for example) it seems to be more frequent.

Any thoughts?

Thanks a lot!

Could you post a screen shot?

Is it all browsers or a specific browser?

Me neither, that is why I asked for extra info. I cannot reproduce this problem on any browser in my test suite.

Forgot to mention, I get the problem in FF3. Don't seem to be able to reproduce problem in current Explorer, but I have had same problem with older versions of Explorer.

I still don't see that on FF3. I did once see the divider line between the left column and the main area didn't show up. But after refresh it showed. Not sure what to make of it. Seems like a webhost server loading issue.

Thanks a lot for trying it! It's been on two different hosts in the past and we've had the same problem. What sort of problem should I be talking to my hosts about?

This problem looks like a css padding/margin problem that usually only shows up only with IE6 when the content in the left column exceeds the width of it's container. Notice how the gap finishes exactly below the content in the left column. When I did experience this though, it could be reproduced every time.

Erratic behaviour can be due to caching in its various forms. I also (vaguely) remember some really strange behaviour from a server using a php accelerator. Once it was turned off, all was well.

Not much, I know but hopefully it helps somehow.
