Daniel and other developers of this script, do u know what really means and what for have to be created and maintained Changelog ?
Do you think I (as translator, but if u continue no longer) have enough free time to compare each of your versions for changed, added and removed files to the languages ?

NO! There is a tons of other applications, and development teams which at least maintain changelogs or add notes when there is a change to the languages files.
You think you can make new rules ? Nah, you're totally wrong, with the new 1.2.10 or 1.30 you will have over 90% of the translations useless, bcz of your new rules.

Keep doing this and Open Cart.com will follow Open Cart.org
Ah and btw you're already forked, hopefully at least they will maintain changelogs.

Program, Script, Application or Game no matter for web environment or Windows, Linux is nothing without language support, people will look for alternative which have better support.

GPL baby, Freedom to Choose.

That's my 2 cents !

I am new to OC, so not as fired up as the OP, just comparing cart systems.

But I definitely agree.

A changelog is a nice feature for any project...it shows the frequency of releases, when a certain feature was added (assumed to be an indicator of maturity), and, ultimately, an always up to date feature list.

It seems that there's a lot of work being put into the project, but without a changelog, it's hard for a newcomer to tell what's going on.

maybe you missed it. or maybe just didnt bother looking but

in the announcement thread there are PLENTY of threads which are clearly labled by the latest revision and in each thread, it has bug fix notes AND new features.

ok, this isnt layed out in one big changelog list, but its there for all to see.

Thanks for pointing that out.

Yeah, I was a bit lazy, only searched for the one word, which seems about as common as Contact Us.

Yes, the News and Announcements thread/forum/area, there are posts named OpenCart {version} which have nice lists of changes.

Nice work, team. Quick answer, pointing to information that was readily available. Both boost my confidence in the platform.

Seriously? The zip file has a file right when you open it up called changes.txt
Additionally, I even go out of my way to make the delta file which shows exactly which files have changed between versions. You spent more time on that first long winded post than it takes to check the zip file. Almost all projects keep a change log right in the first level of the zip. A person who knows so much about change logs should probably know that ::)
