If you switched from a different cart system to OC, how were your conversion rates affected (if you have any idea)?

I switched over on the 1ste of 2011 from osCommerce to OpenCart.

As this month is always slow I cannot say what it will do the rest of the year but up until now I still need to make a € 888.00 to get the same amount in January as I made last year.

My unique visitors January 2010: 1444
My unique visitors January 2011: 1851

So as you see I have more visitors, feedback is very positive but sales stay behind.
The crisis here in The Netherlands made my sales drop comparing 2010 to 2009 as I sell a luxury product.

I've talked to the sales people over at the company I buy my stuff from and they also saw a overall drop in sales.

The Google analytics shows a increase in time visitors stay at my site + the overall value of the cart is higher.

So you don't feel that OC is causing any additional choke points?

Have customers complimented the new system?

Thanks

My customers and visitors have complimented me with the new store.

They find it easier to use, the Guest checkout they love and overall it is faster.
