running locally on localhost via XAMPP
I backed up files using Admin - system - back & saved sql file
Successfully upgraded to new version & restored files from backup
All settings & products restored successfully except no original product images or logo show in either shop preview or in image manager
Image manager does have test images visible but again non of these visible in shop preview
Am able to load images into image manager but again these won't show on shop preview
Any help gratefully received.
The backup/restore is for the database only, the images are not part of the backup, hence the file being an SQL (database structured query language) file. If you've not made a backup of the images you will have to upload them again. You can upload them quicker using FTP if you have a copy locally

However i've uploaded an image into image manager & can see it in image manager but it won't load to products or show on shop preview?
