I want to make possible to search from manufacturers. Is it possible to put manufacturer drop down to the Search, like there is category drop down?

Its possible header module code can be modified to add the functionality of the manufacturers.

You might need to push the module of manufacturers and add the search functionality in the header. Its a start to look at header files. If might need some php skills and knowledge of OC to do it.
