I've had a bit of a search but couldn't find this extension (either free or paid). I did see Q mention it way back in 2008, so hopefully someone has come up with it by now.
A lot of stores have a "Shipping/Postage Quote" form on either the product page or cart (preferably cart). So, if a customer isn't signed in/doesn't have an account then they can still see what the postage will be, dependent on their postcode:
I ship via several methods so it would be ideal to come back with a result like: Postage to "postcode" is $xx.xx to $xxx.xx
Anyone seen this extension around?

Because I'm only selling to Australia at the moment, and it doesn't seem to matter which state/region I select (it all comes down to the postcode), can I easily modify the code to remove the country and state selectors?
I did try to comment out the country selector in the .tpl file but got an error.
Thanks.

Commenting out the code removes it, which is why it won't work. You can, however, add a style tag to hide it:
I've had this requested by someone else, as well, so I'll look in to adding it as a feature.
Code: Select all
style="display: none"
