I am a complete beginner for opencart and i am confused with adding new products to "latest products" and "bestseller" sections.
How can i do this?
In the admin panel in Catalog->Categories and Catalog ->Products i could not find any way to display some of my products in bestseller and latest products.
In the admin panel in Extensions -> Modules ->Edit also there is no way to add these products.
Could you please help with this issue?
You can't.
Latest Products shows the latest products added. You have no control over that.
Best Sellers shows your best sellers - again, you have no control, that is up to your sales. The best sellers will show when you make some sales.

Could be a good idea. I've added products in the past and then not made them live. Waited until a few more products were added then turned them on, just so they didn't show up in "Latest"

I am looking for a way to simply display all of my products on my home page. This is the single biggest suggestion I have received in terms of website feedback, and I think it may be a good idea since my home page is my most accessed page. I also only have ten products total, so this is not an issue and it seems that categories are more of a formality in my case.
I was thinking I may just be able to use the "Latest" module for this...and change the "Date Available:" of every product to be the exact same and very recent. However, I think I'm reading here that this will not? If this is the case, what simple way is there to have all products on the home page?

If you only have 10 products, just use the Latest module and set the limit to more than 10 - it will show them all.
