paypal setup

is the paypal standard setup enough to recieve transactions via credit cards or not and also kindly guide through the process of editing paypal standard settings : i have entered the e-mail address but please explain me about this :

PDT Token:
Sandbox Mode : yes or no
Transaction Method: authorization or sale
please help me guys i'm absolute new fellow to all this.
