Why do I still get "ATTN: Unverified Paypal Order"

Hi,
running Life Shop with OC 1.3.4 with Paypal Standard (itemized patch included).
Everything works as supposed:
- Customer gets his Email with order list
- Seller gets the order with order list + the Paypal notification
- in OC admin the customer order is listed (pending)

Checking the paypal accounts the money transfer is completed.

Why do I still get an Email with "ATTN: Unverified Paypal Order" on top af all above listed Emails.
Did I miss something?

I hope somebody can answer this or lead me in the right direction.

That means the verification did not pass. That is a really old version of the patch and has been updated many times since then.

on mine I find that most of the time this occurs when there is a non-standard/non english character in the email.

Yea.. i think i have a fix for that too actually to stop that one.. But that is in the updated one since 1.4.8
The old 1.3.4 uses my old "Paypal Itemized Patch" which has much less error handling

I am hesitating setting up the cart new because I made quite some changes and included the upload from readyman. These functions are not integrated in the import/export mod.

The cart front is in german and I noticed that the german characters are not shown right in Paypal. I included the line <input type="hidden" name="charset" value="utf-8" /> in pp_standard.tpl to fix that problem.
But characters like an underscore in the Emailadress I really don't know what to do about that.

I know I will have to set up the cart new and buying new mods but not right now.
Is there a quicker way to solve the character problem? I don't think I can use 1.4.8, can I?
I am not a programmer and I would appreciate your help.
