Hi folks,

Done a site for my wife and she's had a paypal notification of an order today but no customer orders show up in her admin so she doesn't know what's been ordered as there's apparently no record in the admin section.

The store is 0.79 (svn version) and the language is set to English.

Anyone got any thoughts why this would happen and how to fix? Obviously it's pretty important so any help appreciated!

Thanks Q,

I've just read through that topic and am more confused. I had another opencart store working until recently that had no such issues with paypal stuff so I assume since then paypal have changed how they work which in turn means opencart doesn't work with paypal at the moment?

I'm sure I'm missing out on something while reading through the topic on what's going on but I'm not entirely clear what / where I should be fixing to allow orders to show up.

I've replied in here as it seems your discussion in the other thread should be uncluttered :)

Heh, well the problem has always existed, if the customer doesn't click "Return to Merchant" the order is lost. You've just been lucky so far.

The new method we are trying to get into 079 final (if possible) will be to process the order first with a "Paid unconfirmed" status, then after the payment is made, will update the status to "Processing". This prevents losing the order, but we are trying to make it work without breaking other payment contribs so its an interim fix until 0.8 when we redo the checkout system and can handle it better.

No. That contrib is already part of the core code in 0.7.9 so there is nothing to add.
