[Updated] Users Online v1.1 The best user tracking extension

Users Online provides you with the ability to see who is browsing your store at the current time. It lists users as 3 different types:

- Customer (Logged In)
- Guest
- Bot

You also have the ability to see which customers are logged in, their IP Address, if they have something in their cart and many other useful features.

Features:
- See total users online
- See signed in customers online
- See Bots and where they are from online
- See where users are on your site with page tracking
- See if your customers are logged in with customer account syncing
- See if customers or guests have an active cart
- See user IP address
- See Header Data such as User Agent and host location

Configuration:
- Enable or disable from module settings
- Set the amount of seconds before someone is counted as inactive
- Visit bots.txt and add Bots you'd like to be recognised by the bot identifer

Does it show the link in the BO where users come from, like coming from Google?

Does it also show the current users on-line in the store front?
If possible also: Total visitors since 2 march 2010: 2560

What happens is you've got a Bots.txt file, its already predone to recognise the majority of important bots however if you want to add onto it you simply add onto the list. So yes if its a Bot, in the list it will show up as Google or Yahoo or Alexa etc.

This system currently works like the Zen Cart Users Online system, it currently only saves session data in the database for the time limit you provide default is 600 seconds = 10 minutes. This however doesn't delete the users session, its merely a way to see who has been active in the last 10 minutes and where they are.

Again, these improvements are doable in the future, we have many ideas we'd like to improve the script on, which convert into sales.

Maybe you can have a look at the Visitors counter and combine these 2?

As I'm looking for such a combination, know in osCommerce as Who's On-line, this would make yours even better

I mean: in my current store I use the Who's On-line and when a visitor comes from Google it will show also the link where the/she comes from in the BO.
Or when he/she comes from a website where a link to my store is placed I see that website and can click that link to follow it back.

Good idea, I'll get a referal link system implemented on first time access to website. Would you prefer a single "Users Online: xxx" module on the frontend or would you like to see visitors today etc, i personally believe "Users Online: xxx" has a place on the Front end, however things like visitors today, or visitors last month should be more a backend feature...I mean do people really care how many visitors you get this month? I think they'd have more interest in a single "Users Online: xxx" Simple 1 line module.

In my front I would like to see:

Visitors since 6 march 2006: 15345
Currently on-line: 6

The front module doesn't need to be a large module, it could just sit in the footer.

I personally don't think there is any need to have anything on the front. It just doesn't make that much sense for a store. I don't really think customers care how many people are online or how many people have visited. I mean honestly if you have to keep track of it you are still small enough that the number is not going to really inspire confidence in a customer. And as far as how many are online right now it's not like it's a forum where you are going to interact with the other customers, so what need is there to know how many are online?

Thank you. I added the user_agent fix. We will see what happens. One other suggestion, if possible, on the Users Online page currently there is a column for:

Last Location column Since I don't know what Product, product_id 687 is in the database without going to the database and looking in up, can you add a column to this page that lists the name of the Product instead of the product_id?

Could be, and I agree, but still some store-owners would like to have this.
It could be an option to switch on or off.
