Hi,

I have built a website for a client based on opencart to replace their existing website.
Because they already have a website, they don't want any downtime unless absolutely neccessary, and they want to be able to add products/categories etc to their new website on their local machine before it is all uploaded to replace the existing one.

I use wampserver to work on websites locally already, but I was just wondering if I add loads of products into the local version and then use the backup feature, will I be able to use the restore feature when I've uploaded the new website? Or will it cause problems moving between databases and servers?

Thanks for any help

You could use PhpMyAdmin to do this
http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route ... path=49_52

- I've moved my Opencart database info between servers a few times using PhpMyAdmin, and it worked flawlessly.
