Hi everyone,

I'm looking for some help with the import/export module as I am getting an error message that I cannot find a reference to in the forums. I'm using v1.4.1.9 and I installed the module fresh. I am using a Wamp to learn OPenCart before I go live.

I got Import/export to show in the admin no problem. I exported to a spreadsheet no problem. I put a few items in the s'sheet to test it but when I click on import I get the following message "The filename C:\wamp\tmp\php1AE.tmp is not readable"

I tried this a few times but each time I try it I get a different .tmp file. I have deleted all the tmp. files in the TMP folder but they did not match the name of the file sin the error messages anyway. I also deleted the database I had originally tried to make in phpmyadmin. On my first try I had renamed the spreadsheet but on subsequent tries I used the name that it was given from the export.

I suspect I am doing something very simple wrong but as a novice I have no idea what to do next so any help will be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance :)

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. My permissions were all set correctly. It turned out to be that as I had only put a few bits of data in the spreadsheet it didn't like it. Once I filled in each column with the correct information the products began to appear in the shop.

I guess I was rushing it to see how it worked but messed it up instead. :choke:
