I installed Opencart using Simplescripts installation.

And now on the mainpage I get thi message:
------------
Congratulations!
You have successfully installed OpenCart.
Please begin to configure your installation in the administration.

Good Luck!
------------

How can I get rid of this message?? I don't want to show the visitors the link to my admin section!

I searched in the files but I couldn't find out where...

Can anybody tell me where it is?

Thanks.

Hello and Welcome to OpenCart :)

I didn't know we were on simplescripts. But I assume
A) It's an old version
B) I would recommend updating to the latest version found here
C) If you really want to use that version, it should be found in:
/catalog/language/english/controller/home.php

Yes, you are on Simplescripts...didn't they ask your permission to put your software on their installation solution? (I'm using Bluehost.com as hosting company)
Simplescripts are known to update their scripts with the latest stable version ASAP (comparing with Fantastico). They have now 0.7.7 which seem to be the latest (your latest are beta or RCs).

Thanks for the info!

Actually the latest is 0.7.8... but both 0.7.7 & 0.7.8 are bug ridden compared to the latest 0.7.9 RC3. 0.7.9 final is around the corner so I'm just trying to save you the extra step.

Hi There

Thanks for the question and for the answers below, I had the same problem and got rid of the message thanks to you.

I would like to ask my own now... where do I go to set up my paypal information properly so the checkout page points there instead of the default which is webmastera@opencart? and.... what do I do once I get there? what do I modify?
Where for the shipping fees settings?

Also , is there any way to integrate authorize.net with the cart?

( I installed the version in simplescripts with bluehost, everything is working fine except for the payment and the shipping which appears a flat fee of 0.00) I still need to figure out the store logo in the header... I hope that is simpler.

Thanks a lot!, let me cross my fingers for a simple answer.

- paypal is in Admin area... Extensions->Payment and click the wrench/spanner icon next to the Paypal item. It's all obvious from there

- authorize.net... there is a SIM version I created in the contribs area and I'm about 95% done with the AIM version. bruce also has one that he offers commercially with full support & installation in the Commercial forum.

- Shipping fees are set in Extensions->Shipping and click the wrench/spanner icon next to the shipping choice.

Thanks A Lot!!!!

It was in front of my eyes all the time.

I downloaded your SIM contribution for authorize.net.....  I will give it a good try in a couple of days...  I find the cart pretty good.. no bugs till now.  At this time there is only a couple more  of simple things I need to do..... I want to change that header (can't find the way) and put in my logo and slogan..... and since I am in the US and charging in dollars I would like to change the flag to the american one to avoid confusion..
I might not express it too well... but I do really appreciate your help.
Thank You again.

Just as an FYI,...  We will be releasing v0.7.9 RC4 (and then final shortly after *hopefully*) on Monday assuming there are no major issues. This will be the most stable version to date, with around 80-100 bug fixes from the latest 0.7.8 version.

So you might want to wait before making any drastic changes to the store. The main thing that won't be affected by the new version will be your existing product database, so that might be a good place to start. Take a look at the import/export contrib to get started quickly and easily
