How is the process on a one page checkout,
this is the last thing I am missing in the system....
To have all info to fill in on one page, and then just click pay, will this be possible? Someone that actually can develop it?
I would be happy to pay for such mod.

There will likely never be a completely one page checkout in the default install. A true one page checkout is actually illegal in some places. I believe there may be some plans to shorten the process down to two pages, but That will most likely be a few versions out.

guest checkout is built into the default install since 1.3.3 so you don't have to register and it shortens the checkout process.filipb wrote:Well at least shorten to two pages then...
what about that? anyone?
So you dont have to register etc. Any mod for this? or anyone who has plans for such a mod?

Does anyone even have stats on one-page checkout completion rates versus multi-page? This feature is often requested but I've never seen any numbers to justify it. Even Amazon uses multi-page (and I've never felt bothered by it).
The only time I can think of one-page checkout being an advantage is for an impulse buy on a digital product.

I find it to be another overhyped topic like SEO
I've never left a site or heard of anyone leaving a site because there were too many steps.
Hell, godaddy has like 11 steps during their checkout process, spammed with ads and upsell. Its like running a gauntlet to get out of there. I have to take a few deep breaths before purchasing a new domain just to psych myself up for their checkout process... but I still use em.

you have more abandond carts with one page checkout. i'm including it in the next release because i have alot of people who have no idea about shopping carts but because they have heard the hype they want it. you will be able to disabe it and use normal checkout if you want.

Hi Daniel,
Will the one page checkout in the next release be similiar to the one used in Magento? Where the different steps are in an jquery accordion type effect?
