Mel,
This is ready for use in multiple OC installations, and granted it would be multiple monthly charges, but the time saved and money earned from increased revenue will dwarf the monthly cost of the integration. This mod is designed only to make you more money, its not a novelty or anything for aesthetics, it is purely a time saver and a more-sales maker, which is what makes this thing so awesome and well worth the small investment!

so if I'm understanding this correctly it's a fee of $20 per month?
and we can use it how we want? would it just be $20 per installation of this or $20 with unlimited copies?
where will the files be hosted? on your server or ours server?
how much would you be looking for the sourecode?

Uhm. It may be a good mod but 20 per month is ludicrous.. I'd pay 15-20 as a ONE TIME FEE without a problem. People that don't already have a solid grounding and sales market would find this like myself as a bit overkill. Especially when you need to look at your customers are not guaranteed to make anything with your mod. I paid 25 for authorize.net aim module then like 2 days later it showed up built into the opencart software ...
https://www.lotnllc.com is your one stop shop for all your computer needs!
I agree, for small self employed businesses, it's costing more than my hosting and domains put together! i like the idea but $20 (£15) is a bit much per month... if you sold it for a one off payment say £30-£40... then i'd buy it. Problem I face is that I can't afford to list every item in ebay and pay a monthly fee. Thus the price for a gadget swamps the price I pay ebay therefore making it not viable.Demon5 wrote:Uhm. Great product, but I aint paying monthly for something I'm not going to use everyday.
i too agree, i first thought it was $10 or $20 one time fee. Then noticed its per month. If they are installed on my servers i dont understand why you should be paid an ongoing fee for this?
I can imagine he is making decent bank pre selling this for $200?!

Yeah, that's too easy to compete with. It's a sad fact, but people don't want to make a commitment - they just want the product...

Hey All who are interested,
The demo is live on my website, go check it out, and there is a sale on the pre-release for cyber monday as well!
For all those wondering about the cost in general and/or the ongoing cost, it's because eBay is a pain in the ... and this mod requires a heck of a lot of my time to maintain to keep up with their quarterly or sometimes monthly updates to their api. I could not do this as a one-off payment, as it would most likely break due to their API changing, so I am committed to keeping this thing up to date with both eBay API and with OC versions compatibility. All in all, its supposed to make you money, its not a "cost" its an investment. If selling on eBay doesn't make you good profit, and you wouldn't benefit from this mod helping you get your inventory off your shelves, then you don't need this mod...
Thanks again!

hmm..$150 for API submission. I think it's too costly for one time fee for a module. If I understand correctly, simply it posts the item to ebay and query the status back.
Does this update the inventory and create new order in my system when somebody buy the item from ebay?

Josh,
I'm not sure if you're aware, but ebay is going to get rid of 3rd party checkouts.

Also, I'm a titanium top rated power seller on ebay and deal with auto parts. Will you have the parts compatibility feature for this integration?
If you need any suggestions or feedback, please feel free to PM me. I would be willing to work with you on developing the module.

This is true. Most users would want to just pay a one-time fee, but if you look at all the other listing programs out there for eBay, they charge anywhere from $15-$40 per month.tarik wrote:i too agree, i first thought it was $10 or $20 one time fee. Blackthorne http://pages.ebay.com/blackthorne/pro.htmlwhich is ebays more advance alternative to ebay's turbolister tool (free) is $29.99 per month for the PRO version.
I think $20 a month is a pretty good deal if it will save me from listing items twice, considering I currently pay $29.99 a month for blackthorne.
And Josh is right about ebay always changing their APi's, they are always changing something. All the listing software's available are constantly being updated every few weeks or every month to keep up with eBay and its constantly changing rules.
I just tried out the demo.
A few suggestions for the next release:
- Support for ITEM Specifics (very important, especially with the new eBay)
- Compatibility support for eBay Motors
- Part number or Sku from opencart should also be attached to the ebay. Blackthorne has a field for part number and this translates to a custom label 1 on eBay.
The extension works great though! i just can't use it since I'm on motors and not regular ebay =(

I am seriously looking into buying the module. Does it really allow the customer to be directed away from Ebay to complete checkout. Why do Ebay allow that to happen, surely they are losing money. Currently I run an Ebay Shop and am very interested in implementing this Module, if is says what is says it can do.
I have to say, the price is a bit steep. I must say in defence that this is a very in depth module and clearly a lot of time and effort has gone into it. Personally i'd be happy to pay around $75 for the "Awesome Version" with lifetime updates as apposed to $150.
Thanks
Stewart
