Might be prudent to take a lookee-see dates when people have joined this group. fido has been here since the inception basically and a lot of what you have in the cart now is what he has worked on. Regardless of who has been here longer, taking someone's code and basically renaming oneleft to one_left throughout does not constitute being labeled as a great "new" creation of the older member. With the exception of the graphic used in the header, the oneleft vs. one_left naming, and the move of a single SQL query from one module to its own, this module matches line for line to my code, everything in the exact same order, line for line. Sorry, looks like my 1.0.1 version.
I too have noted one left has been done a while ago. But Fido-x is well known for his mods and I would not suspect him of reusing someone elses code, especially just to re-release is freely. I've not looked at the code, but I assume it does a simple db query for all products that have only 1 in stock so the code would be pretty much straight forward and the mysql would indeed be the same. It is possible that 2 people just had the same idea as it has happened a few times.
Same with nivo slider. I recall 3 people have done it if not more with a slight difference

Because I was busy with a couple of other projects, I was unable to take this one on. However, the idea of a "One Left" module seemed so simple that I just threw one together and put it out there without looking first. My apologies if I've stepped on anyone's feet.
