Hi,

I took a look around and I found a post that said this had been fixed in .79 which I had downloaded and installed yesterday but I find when adding products to my cart, it doesn't add any quantity for them despite a min quantity being set in the admin.

Anyone got any thoughts why this wouldn't work when I've downloaded a fresh install yesterday?

Thanks!

It's been fixed in the latest SVN, not latest RC3. You need to get the source from SVN using the steps in this link:

This is another issue when upgrading from existing 0.7.9 versions. MySql annoys me because after years of being requested by tons of people, they still haven't added an "ALTER IF NOT EXISTS" option.

For now, if you are upgrading from a previous version of 0.7.9 (like RC1 or RC2 or the SVN) then instead of running the upgrade.php file, just run the install/upgrade.sql file in your phpmyadmin and remove the line that adds min_qty

Thanks Q,

I'm a little unclear on which files I should be looking to compare to fix this problem, could you expand a little in this or the developers quickstart post?

Hello jamble,
I think Q is referring to this:
http://code.google.com/p/open-cart/source/list
Look for r165 on the bottom of that page. Click on r165 and you can see the diff
If that's not it, have a look at the other bug fixes that have been done since RC3 which is about the first 1.5 pages listed.

The better alternative and the option I took was to download the latest SVN using tortoise. That was easier than working out what's what but then it might not be a good idea if your install is heavily modded.

I don't understand why you still cannot add to cart even though a minimum qty is set on the product. When I had the problem, it was because I didn't have a min qty set.

There were a few other scenarios that were handled by the new code as well.
