When i add more than 3 products to the site the following products will overlap the products above them. the pic's are small enough, it's just that pic number 4 will overlap the written link below pic number 1.

Can anybody point me in the right direction?

Welcome to Open Cart
Without a visual to see what you mean, it sounds like a CSS problem
Your stylesheets are in catalog/template/default/css
That's the easy part. The harder part is which style to change
I use Firebug with Firefox to interrogate styles
There is also Firefox Web Developers tools which I have yet to learn to use

Don't tell me you use IEeeeeeeeeeeee !!!!!!
Oh no, you're in big twuble with IE  :D

If you go to default.css in your template, change the height to min-height to allow display area to grow depending on your image size and text.

Thanks i finally figured it out... it was the width thingy. I'd set it too wide. after reseting it it worked fine. I also put on another skin now. a few other things i need to figure out, but i'm enjoying the experience as it is helping me to learn more about coding. Not that I know anything... just that i'm learning more...

apology for the digression... and thanks for the help. i'll check to make sure that isn't already done :)
