I know this issue has been mentioned in several threads for older versions of OpenCart, but I am not sure my problem has the same cause, thus I thought a new thread would be more appropriate. Please let me know if I should post this elsewhere.

Orders are not showing up in the admin orders list. They are being saved to the database, but with an order_status_id of 0. Manually changing this to another value causes the order to appear in the admin correctly.

Version of Open cart: v1.4.9.1; upgraded from previous version (1.4.9). I had the issue before upgrading.

My orders are being processed via Paypal Standard. The IPN history status is "Sent" for each order.

I found this thread (http://forum.opencart.com/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=6247) where one user recommends casting the status id as an integer, but I'm not sure which line of code to change, plus casting doesn't seem necessary to me.

I know PHP pretty well so feel free to recommend code tests, etc. Just ask if you need more info. I can PM the site's URL for testing if needed.

Does this happen with all orders? are you using paypal sandbox and in test mode or is this the live version?

Thanks for the repley JAY6390. I am testing OpenCart for a website redesign (not live yet, fortunately). I am using a Paypal sandbox merchant account, and sandbox mode is enabled in the OpenCart admin. Btw, I have not entered a PDT token in the Paypal Standard extension configuration. Could that be affecting anything?

OK, so I just decided to enter the PDT Token, and my orders started showing up. I've used Paypal IPN in other apps that worked fine without the token. So, I guess my question now is - is needing the token a feature or a bug? If it's a "feature", shouldn't the token be a required field?
