well after a long search through the forum i see that others have had a similar problem but haven't come across a satisfactory fix, unless i missed it?
I am on version 1.4.9.1..clean install....Basically, in the orders section wanting to notify the customer that the order is now completed or send a message from there, checking the notify customer button, then i get the message all done and sent, checking the emails, nothing...i have tried with several emails and nothing is going out from this section of the cart. No error messages, no sign of anything wrong just don\t seem to be sending from this section of the cart.
I think i have sorted my other problems regarding the verification back from Paypal, that appears to be working now. So I have these 2 problems namely the first as just stated (the notify) and the second is that sending emails from the "mail section" of the cart which works great by the way except, i cannot send mail to live.com accounts. Yahoo and Hotmail great but no live.com.Not saying that this is a OC problem, just mentioning it incase anyone else has come up with this problem and found the answer. i have contacted my hosting provider and tried all the obvious fixes but no difference, so just checking with all you good people here.
Anyhow if anyone could shed some light on this notify thing that would be cool.
One suggestion for the upcoming version if I may... it would be great if one could amend or delete any comments made in the orders history section. So far I have sent out 20 messages from one sale testing the notify costumer issue and the page is full of these notes and sends. I cannot see a way to delete them individually, collectively or amend them in any way. So I think that feature would be a cool addition.
