Ok so I am using Opencart 1.4.8b with the new PayPal mod. I just got a sale but PayPal has held it for review for 24 hours. I have used PayPal for years and never seen this before. It says they are checking the validity of the payment for whatever reason. Payment status is "under review". Regardless, the sale did not record in open cart. Any ideas?

This is a physical product so nothing has been sent. There are no messages. The payment is being held so paypal can review the validity of the payment. It went to the success page because my tracking pixel fired, but the purchase was not recorded in Opencart.
ahh debug mode was disabled. i just enabled it. ill keep you posted to see if they approve that sale. can i manually add the order without doing it through mysql?
Switch to no status filter on the order page and find it there, then change the status to "pending" or something

**cough cough Alertpay's awesome cough cough** Paypal sucks cough cough**
Seriously though, back when I did use PayPal, the same thing happened to me. Someone paid me, and the payment was under review for 5 full business days before they released it to me. Also, the first time I tried to use my PayPal debit card, they limited my account because I was overseas and it threw up a flag. I had to spend time with their lovely customer service department (not!) to get everything working again.

I remember when AlertPay first came out. They looked like they used Paypals Exact template but didn't suck, so I thought they were going to save the day from paypal and shut paypal down. Unfortunately that didnt happen. But yes AlertPay is what paypal should have been. A neutral payment system that doesn't stick their nose into shit that is none of their business and has no effect on them. AlertPay all the way!HTMLCSSNoob wrote:**cough cough Alertpay's awesome cough cough** Paypal sucks cough cough**

LOL, does that mean we can get itemized lists on the checkout page now???Qphoria wrote:I remember when AlertPay first came out. I know i've been asking this one forever, but seriously, I wouldn't mind contributing some money to get this done, unless there are plans to include it for free in the next version of opencart...Even then, if the next version is gonna be out in 6 months, I think I'd rather give someone money to add itemized list now. I'm so impatient.
I mean that when a customer checks out using Alertpay, the item name and description are not pulling through to Alertpay's checkout page. As of now it only shows the store name and invoice number. I just think it would look so much more professional if it would show each item's name and description, you know, the way PayPal does.scanreg wrote:what do you mean by itemized list?LOL, does that mean we can get itemized lists on the checkout page now???
what is being itemized?
thanks

LOL, i've been mentioning this one for awhile now but have been getting the silent treatment.....But c'est la vie, I know everyone is busy getting OpenCart 1.5 prepared, and I would rather they focus on that at the moment. Just hoping one day it comes around.
