On holiday, we put a banner that show our office will close and resume working after holiday. We still allow customer to checkout, however our support is limited and services is pending until working day.

I suggest http://litextension.com/opencart-migrat ... ation.html to update opencart to opencart (supported from opencart 1.5.0). It runs automatically to transfer products and orders to opencart 2.1. Hope it helpful!

In upgrading process from old opencart to opencart 2.2, many errors can be happened. You can try again with http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route ... &order=ASC . It seems to be easier.
