OpenCart 3 PayPal Pro Extension Issue

This is happening with a fresh install of OC 3.0.3.2. When testing the PayPal Pro payment extension, after clicking "confirm order" the "please wait" notice shows up and nothing happens after that (the user isn't redirected to a success page). Checking PayPal confirms that the payment was successful...

What is the upgrade script status for 3.x?

Previously I used the included upgrade script to upgrade from one 2.x version to another and it made an impressively big mess. I ended up moving back to an earlier 2.x version (2.1.0.2). My mistake was assuming that the upgrade script had been fully tested. I later found on the forums that the scrip...

Re: Cart Update/Remove Issue

The links you pasted are straight from the default OpenCart template.

Cart Update/Remove Issue

[edit] Found the problem, it's with OpenCart and the size of the encoded keys. Possibly larger ID numbers for the products associated with this store are the problem. The problem, apparently, exists with 2.1 but not 2.2. If only the upgrade script wasn't broken :(

Re: Featured Products Disappearing

I downgraded to 2.1 after the 2.2.0.0 upgrade script destroyed a website. Later discovered it was a known issue that effected ALL upgrades of versions prior to 2.1... that it was a known issue and the download (with upgrade script) were still available on the OC site, and that it was the second time...

Featured Products Disappearing

I'm hoping someone else has encountered this, and found a workaround, so I don't have to spend a bunch of time going through the code looking for the bug: When saving featured products (module) everything works fine the first time. Subsequent saves remove all, or all but one of the products in the f...

Re: Google Conversion Tracking

The process I explained above is the work it has to do provided everything is cached and no changes have been made to the files. I invite you to look at the code if you doubt it.

Re: Google Conversion Tracking

It's as if all of those things VQMod does magically happen in another dimension, allowing it to have NO effect on performance. Wheeeee!

Re: Google Conversion Tracking

Well this got off topic and I should probably drop it, but misinformation sucks so... Here is how VQMod works: - Modifications are made to OpenCart core so that VQMod runs with every page request. This in itself is negligible. - VQMod then uses it's own modding system to modify pretty much every req...

Re: Google Conversion Tracking

VQMod means extra database and disk IO on every page load, more on page loads where a replacement exists.

This absolutely makes a difference on a high traffic website. Disk I/O is generally always the bottleneck that forces hardware upgrades. Not so much on a low traffic one, but I already said that.

Re: Google Conversion Tracking

Maybe we're talking about two different things... I can't think of any reason to use VQMod to add 3rd party tracking code when you can just drop it in the template. VQMod adds a significant performance hit, it should be used sparingly.

Re: Google Conversion Tracking

Thanks for the reply but, for others with the same issue: Don't modify core files, it's never worth the pain in ass it makes version updates. It's like crack, you tell yourself you're only going to do it a couple of times but pretty soon you're giving fellatio to anyone who will do your 20 file mod ...

Google Conversion Tracking

Is there a variable available at checkout success in OC 2.x that contains the order amount?

I setup Google conversion tracking a while back, looked and couldn't find one, and I'm just now getting back to it.

Am I going to have to write an extension?

Re: [RELEASED] Multilingual Export/Import for OpenCart 2.x

Edit: This is solved, it was being caused by a problem in OC itself, not the Export/Import tool. For posterity: In OC version 2.0.0.0 the XML for modifications was stored in the code column of the modifications table. In newer versions, for no apparent reason, this column is now the title and it's c...

$this->request->get['route']

OpenCart 2.0.1.1 HTML Content Module

Hi, Does anyone know where the actual content is stored when created with the HTML Content Module? I've just upgraded from 2.0.0.0 to 2.0.1.1 and all of my layouts are now broken (layout items are all now Account) and all custom HTML Content modules are gone. I have backups but I don't know where to...

Re: Alternate Category Template

For posterity, after skimming the relevant core code, reading pretty much everything on the net about his issue, as well as getting no replies here, I'm concluding that there is no workaround. I have solved the problem temporarily with mod rewrite (links to specific categories are 301ed to the categ...

Re: Alternate Category Template

I of course did that after I created the new layout in admin. It has no effect. By effect I mean that the menu links do not change, any link to the category in question continues to point to the default category route. To reiterate, it does work correctly at the correct link (route=product/category2...
