Go to; admin > Extensions > Modules, and ensure you have 'category' installed, then click 'edit' and add to the pages you would like it to be displayed on.

1 thing you can do is; Create a category in your admin section and call it what you would like to be display as, i.e. amazon is shop by department, in the 'data' tab make sure you check the box that says 'Top' this will display it in the menu under your logo, you will then need to make any other cat...

I only had option boost for a short time before i realised it was not what i needed, so there was not much content i my site to notice, plus i am going back over a year, you would be best to ask the developer.

When you add a product on the data page you should see tax class, select none.
