why don't you turn to a developer or an automated migration service? it'll save you lots of time and effort. upgrading stores with automated tools is usually risk free. i did a bunch of migrations using cart2cart. they coped with the job quickly and with no arising issues. you may also try it

try using Cart2Cart. It's an automated tool, so there's no need to worry about tech aspects of the upgrade. it saves you a great deal of time, nerves and most importantly - money. it helped me a lot!
