Its sounds strange but it worked for me...
Just change the SMTP host from "mail.myserver.com" to "localhost"
and let know how it goes.

Wow.. I've looking for the solutions for centuries to fix this issue up and your simple tip worked like charm. But it sound strange that to make it working you need to put "localhost" instead of real SMTP host name.

Sorry man, keep bugging you. Now the order status stays "pending" in admin under order even though I edit its status from pending to complete

Yes, the problem was in the payment page as I had commented the comment section. Now after removing the comments from the code its working fine. Now the whole process is working smooth from ordering the product to view the order as pending in the admin. Jay you've been great help. Thank you very much.

Its running fine on the localhost without giving any error and redirecting it to the Paypal sandbox. Error is only arising on the live server. I'll look at the payment.tpl file as I did some customization to this file or will re-upload the file to the server if it works.

Thanks for your reply. Now the admin page is directing me to the localhost server. On the live server after enter the user and pass to login to admin when I press the login button then again it takes me to the localhost, any idea. Do I need to modify the path to any file before uploading to server ?...
