Hello OC

I love the customer reviews facility in opencart, and I was wondering if it was possible to "edit" the reviews in HTML, not at the customer end, purely at the admin end to tidy the comments up, and add "replies from the store..." etc.

Alternatively is there a module which will allow the site admin to reply to customer comments / questions / reviews and have this appear underneath the original review / question?

This is particularly important if a customer places a bad review and you need to respond (rather than simply delete the review which is poor taste)

Thanks.

There's probably an extension for that (dinna look) but you can hand edit the database (back it up first). The need arises also over foul language (even when filters are in place, some people will come up with something new). Preapproval before exposure is another avenue. Practicality springs from how many there are or aren't. Try a Search.

Search "edit approve reviews" gives merely "About 35,100,000 results (0.36 seconds)" at
http://www.google.com/search?q=utf8_bin ... 80&bih=707

and accordingly you'll want to tinker with how you word it, word pairs will narrow it. The phrase "edit reviews" returns nothing, but does also offer a long list without the phrase, just the pair.

In host control panel's phpMyAdmin in the main pane you can find the table and within that the text field and then edit it by hand.
