Hello

Sorry, English is not my native language. I hope you can understand me.

I've tried to find an answer here, but have not succeeded. My question is: how to make OpenCart default slider (Nivo Slider) responsive? I've tried several ways but no luck. I hope that good people here can help me solve this problem.

Note: I do not want to use any extra modules for this.

Upgrade nivo-slider to latest (v3.2 at time of writing). It is now responsive by default. I think it has been since v2.8. Anyway, the one in OpenCart is v2.7.1.

I have been testing this new version and have come across no major problems. Just drop it in. You'll more than likely need to muck with CSS a bit. But it has its own css file.

I used version 1.5.5.1 for my testing and it was fine. I have not tried it in earlier versions.

I know that I am doing something wrong but I do not know exactly what. Can you please write a detailed tutorial? I believe that it would be helpful for others too.

What do you mean by this? Does not work at all? Is jerky? Please describe what happens for you.

Also please describe exactly what you did.

Sorry, my mistake. The slider is working well now. There was a small CSS issue.

Hi, I've just downloaded the latest version of Nivo slider , i.e the .js files and .css and uploaded those to OC. But the slider seems to take ages to load the images, especially if I resize the window. It shows a tiny thumbnail first in the corner whilst loading then after quite a few minutes the full size image shows.

Can anyone advise please what might be causing this?
