Price override

Hello,

One of my main products is priced at GBP £439.95 , whilst I sell into the Euro zone Opencart automatically converts it to €510.74 but to make it more marketable I would like to sell it for €499.95 instead (and list this price on my welcome page)

Can this be done ?

Regards

Gavin

This is because of your tax. It will tax people from the euro zone at the euro zone tax rate you have set up. It is automatic and you can't fake the taxed price without changing the base price.

@Qphoria
NO. It is not because of tax, it is GBP>Euro conversion.
Like the OP, I would also like suggestions on how to round conversions to a simulated 'retail' price structure.

@Qphoria , as my company is vat registered (UK sales tax) I have to charge everyone outside the UK 20% vat until I move over the threshold for that particular country and then have to "sales tax" register in that country - e.g. Italy - once I have sold more than €35K of goods I must register with the Italian authorities and charge the Italian sales tax rate of (I think) 21%

Anyhow, would be good to have this ability - whilst it would need some more admin so as not to overly expose yourself to exchange rate fluctuations it certainly would make your products much more marketable outside the country you mostly trade in.

Cheers
