I want to put some adds on my page!

Hello, im new to this and i have been looking threw the forums for some thing but cant find anything. What im trying to do is put an add bellow my catagories on the left side of the page. I have an example of an affiliate i want on the left:

how do i put that image on?

please help me im pulling out my hair!

If your question is "where to put this code to appear under categories where ever categories are displayed" then you could put it in the category template file \catalog\template\default\module\category.tpl

again im new at this. i apologize. you are right. What should category.tpl look like after i do this? I just want to make sure i do it right. Thank you for your time.

Just try it in various locations (start by appending your code to the end) in the template file on your test system to see what happens.

There is no better way to learn.
