I have this very same issue. My editor has the heading "description" but not input box or tools etc.
Please help someone??

They are not a part of the ckeditor standard built anymore.

To add them: From the atached archive, upload the 3 folders to admin/view/javascript/ckeditor/plugins/ and upload the config.js to admin/view/javascript/ckeditor

yes working for me too now, but cant set font bigger than 14, option for bigger is there but it wont apply on store front.

Maybe you have some restriction in your theme's stylesheet if you se it fine in backend but not on frontend.

Hi, i am using OC 1.5.5.1,i am facing the product description missing buttons font size and color too. I saw florinsith's post and tried to opened the attachments: extents-ckeditor.rar... and i clicked on the config.js file but a box with the title "window script host" pop up, it showed that....

The same problem occured when i clicked on all plugin.js files. I am using IE9,can i still upload all these files to my admin/view/javascript/ckeditor/plugins/ and upload the config.js to admin/view/javascript/ckeditor?

not work for me.....anyone can help? There is already a config.js file in admin/view/javascript/ckeditor......i think i shouldn't overwrite the file ..... how to get it work? I really need someone to help me in this. Thanks in advance.

Maggie, I am not sure exactly what you did but you need to replace that file in order for it to work. Its basically the same file but with refference to the 2 new plugins added. If you do not wish to replace it, compare the files and place the code for the new plugins yourself in the file.

I couldn't compare the files because i couldn't see the content inside the config.js file . When i clicked on the config.js file, a pop-up box showed up (as mentioned in the above post). Whats wrong with the file or might it be my solfware/computer problem? Do u know how to solve this problem?

In maggie2013's instance, Windows had tucked config.js elsewhere as c:\Users\HAPPYF~1AppData\Local\Temp\7zO40825B04\config.js (the Temp/ copy could be from an edit, from a user setting, from Win's own mission on earth, etc.) and presumably OC is looking for it under admin/view/javascript/ckeditor/. Windows itself should not even be messing with the file. Which versions of Win or other operating systems are people with this problem using?

Given that maggie2013 has two threads going on buttons, IF EACH of you is using a "WYSIWYG/HTML editor on my Windows/IIS" or on your own machine, THEN EACH take a peek at the last part of this:

and use a pure text editor and ftp instead.

l was using WinRar to view this file last night ..... i just clicked on the 'view' button in WinRar then i got the content. But if i double click the folder.... the same problem came out. Anyway i got my font and color buttons now. Thank you very much.

Dont double click the js file, it will try execute it. Install Notepad++ , then rigt click on the file and click edit with Notepad++

Worked like a charm! (I simply backed up the complete directory for ckeditor from my install of OC 1.5.5.1 and replaced it with the ckeditor directory from OC 1.5.4.1.) Thank you very much!

Yep the 1.5.4.1 trick worked for me.

The now prevailing solution for 1.5.5.1 is merely to replace ckeditor itself; with the new one. That has been suggested April 06 and afterward, and seems to work without incident. The original source of the real deal is http://ckeditor.com/download, and the current ckeditor can be slipped into place via ftp (use FileZilla Client to avoid or cure file corruptions by certain other ftp clients).
