How to remove a step in the check out procedure

Hi!

I've been searching the forum for a description of how to remove a step in the checkout procedure.

The step in question is the "Payment Information" step.

So I want to transform the following chain:

Shopping Cart => Delivery Information => Payment Information => Checkout Confirmation to
Shopping Cart => Delivery Information => Payment Information => Checkout Confirmation

It is not entirely clear to me how to accomplish this. Any advice is much appreciated.
