Hi all,
I hope you can help clear up some confusion for me. I have a site using dual currency because the company have an an office in each of two countries, Ireland and England. Euro € and GPB £.
I have the store set to display price with tax. £=20%VAT €=23%VAT
This is where my issue lays, Example:
A unit for sale at £100 is displayed as
Unit = £86.40
Ex tax = £72.00
That is fine, now if I switch currency to € it desplays as
Unit = €103.35
Ex tax = €86.13

Basically, irellevant of which currency I use, the VAT rate doesn't change, it is just displayed differently. Is it possible to make the VAT rate dependant on which currency is selected???

Many Thanks

No - it's based on the customers shipping address or billing address. You can configure that in the tax rate setting and it's how the tax laws work within EU - so OC works correct. It's always depending on the destination (shipping or billing depend on your country) but never on the currency.

Best regards
