I built a site for a guy that lives in Canada, and wants to be able to ship to US and CA
The site has been up and running for several months using the Canada Post (Q) legacy extension and today I noticed that it will no longer calculate US rates.
I assumed it was because I missed an update to this extension which I downloaded and installed.
I'm still getting a "No rates could be retrieved" when testing with US address's.
I'm using the demo ID
I have checked the following services;
CA-regular
CA-Xpresspost
US-small packets service
INT-small packets service
INT-parcel service
And I have 6x6x6 for package dimensions.
This extension WILL calculate shipping costs on US address's wont it??
Well, after two and a half hours of using the "FREE SEARCH" which gave me absolutely nothing
And another hour and a half trying to diagnose the issue by rebuilding geozones, and using different CA Post settings, I was finally able to get it operating correctly.
In case anyone else has problems with it, here's what I discovered and no ones is talking about.
It says that you can leave the "letter rates" blank to always return premium rates for cart weights less then 500 grams.
Well that would be a lie.
It does not work on US shipping without these fields filled in.

I hope that helps someone else down the road.
