Re-uploading files?

Hi folks,

I installed certain modules I dont want to use anymore and some themes. I just want to make sure I have a clean install again.

If I delete all the files on my server and simply re-upload them from the initial download of OC 1.5.4.1 without rerunning the install, will I have a clean install again?

Don't replace your config files and have you modified your htaccess file at all?

Do a backup first so that you can go back if needed and then you can re-upload everything except the 2 config files.

In other words basically what I want to do is do a clean install without losing any of the products, categories and all the configurations settings I have done so far.

Is this the best way?

Yes. That information is stored in the database. As always, make a backup of everything before you start. It's the safest way.
