PayPal Standard Extension SOLUTION!!!!

Does anyone know of any extensions available on OpenCart that will allow users to use PayPal's GUEST CHECKOUT. With the upgrade to 1.5.4.1 the settings in the admin panel changed from "PayPal" to "PayPal Standard". PayPal Standard does not allow customers to check out as a guest without registering an account with PayPal.

Please help!!!

If the following are true:
1. You have a business/executive account with PayPal
2. Account optional feature is on in Paypal account

Then, customers no longer have the option to checkout as a guest because the email address you saved in standard doesn't match the PRIMARY email address you use in your Paypal account. Make sure both match and guest checkout will work!

Too bad no one picked up this very simple solution.

There is a guest checkout option when the customer completely checks out from your website. It will transfer to paypal and there will be an option to guest checkout on the right side below the login

It does transfer to PayPal, however the option for guest checkout is not available. It forces customer to create PayPal account.

I have exactly the same problem.

This feature is available to Premier and Business account holders only.
Anyway, I'm Premier account and I doesn't seem to have such option.
Just write to PP, i will keep you informed what they will answer.

This option is not available for my country (which is in EU union)...
So if you don't see this option but you are business or premier account, perhaps this is the reason... so sad.

Log in to Paypal and change your account to Business and when setting up make sure you allow guest check out for your customers. We had the same problem and we changed to business account now it's working properly

Yes there is a setting in your PayPal profile to allow guest checkout. There is also one in Opencart. Both must be checked. I have the free PayPal business account and it works for me.
