We have completed the setup properly as outlined by opencard paypal standard setup. The script works fine when an order is placed to pick up and doesn't require payment. The problem is that when customers select paypal, pay, the order number and thank you screen comes up. But. nothing registers from the order and or paypal IPN.
I assume its a simple fix, however we've exhausted all areas. Our server company has reviewed all the setting requirements on the server and it's set up ok. Also. the website isn't logging ANY errors messages when the paypal payment is made... so there is a communication error where it wont process the transaction nor the error message. So we can't pinpoint it.
Good Luck I and 50 million others are having exactly the same problem. It is most frustrating we can't all be doing the same thing wrong (unless of course the instructions are wrong) I have setup the paypal standard exactly as pe instructions the IPN is correct and is working properly I have setup a dummy client and ordered through that client and payed with a seperate paypal account everything works as it should. I get notifed the dummy client gets notified.BUT the order is under missing orders and the stock levels do not change if I pay by cheque or direct deposit no problem. I have tried paypal as sales and as authorization and every different comination of order status you can think of but still no luck. The orders are not being cancelled or added to they are new orders made once and payed for. surely someone at open cart must have a solution or is the only solution to change products? I am running 1.5.4 I was wondering if it's a time zone thing as my shop is housed at bluehost in the states and the paypal accounts are with paypal in Australia and is it a time stamp thing as the orders under missing are showing a date of 31/10/2012 and I placed the orders and payed for them on 01/11/2012 anybody got any ideas.
We are also suffering with the exact same problem. The missing orders are only from Paypal. I have checked the IPN history and all the orders are showing a 200 success ok which means Paypal did communicate with the opencart system. However, the opencart system (1.5.4) does not seem to be updating the order history. When checking the missing order, it shows as cancelled. The only conclusion I can come to is that it is a processing issue within Opencart Paypal Standard callback function. Can someone PLEASE sort this out as it is causing my client(s) a lot of problems?
