order status plus email problem

Just bought order total plus and installed it. works great but it isnt sending the customer notification emails when i change the status. I have set it to send the emails but no joy. THE SYSTEM SENDS THE INITIAL ORDER EMAIL TO CUSTOMER but doesnt send the change of stats emails. im on version 1.5.2.1 of opencart. Can anyone help
