Too many pages (resulting in many blank pages)

Hi All
Has anyone seen this before? I have entered quite a few products using the export/import module, with categories 4 deep. All seems fine when I look at the databases.
But when opencart shows the products, it seems to think that there are twice as many products in the category as there really are. For example, if there are seven products in the category, it shows them correctly, but at the bottom it says "Showing 1 to 12 of 14 (2 Pages)". If you go to the 2nd page, it has no products at all. See the images below.
and then, if you click to the second page,
The number it thinks are there is always double the actual number. So it does show all the products correctly, just with a few blank pages thrown in.
Any ideas?
