When I use the Search feature on the frontend it returns no results even though I have that product in the store.

Would anyone have any tips on why this is happening and how to fix it?

I'm using OC 1.5.4

I have the same problem with ver 1.5.4.1. If the search word appears in the Product Name, then I get results. But I get no results when clicking on tags, or manufacturer icon, or typing a word in the search box, even when I check the boxes for sub-categories and product descriptions in the advanced search, I get nothing. Has anyone found a solution to this? Thanks.

Must be a serious problem, indeed, otherwise someone would have had an answer.
Unfortunately, without a (functional) search there is no shop.

Sadly, same here. Only fix was downloading two modules: Smart Search and Enhanced Search / Improved Search, now it work fine. Hopefully this is addressed in the 1.6 versions.

Am facing a different variant of the Search problem.

From the homepage, I will get No Results searching for anything in my product listing.

However, in some other pages, typing the same keyword would yield correct results.

It somehow seems like the Search module acts differently on different pages...

I really think there's something very wrong with the Search function.
