I'm sponsoring a few web forum and I will have an advertisement displayed on each page. I would like to track the success of various images being used for these advertisements. I'm wondering how I could track their usage using opencart and google analytic. It seems like maybe I could add some data to the link for those ads that allows me to track it but I'm not sure if its possible.

It seems like I could make those adds link to www.mysite.com?ad=forum-ad-1 and then I could see the number of times that specific address is access.

Can anyone tell me if this is possible of if there is another/better options?

BTW, I have other links on the site, so I don't think I can base it just off of the referring page.

Thank!
Clay

Well I did a bit more research and found the answer. Its a feature that is already built right into Google Analytics. Its called custom campaigns , you can use their URL Builder to add the required data. You can find out about it here in case any one else is looking http://support.google.com/analytics/bin ... er=1033863
