Showing Products On Homepage

I want to show new or random products from more than one category on the homepage for eg,

i have following categories:-
i)PC
ii)Tablet
iii)Mobiles
iv)PC Accessories
and etc

what i want to do is:-
i want to show products like thison the homepage:-

PC:-
{Some Random or n ew products from the PC Category}

Tablet:-
{Some Random or n ew products from the Tablet Category}

Mobiles:-
{Some Random or n ew products from the Mobiles Category}

PC Accessories:-
{Some Random or n ew products from the PC Accessories Category}

and so on

By chance I would also like my main products on the home page when the web shop is loaded.
Can anyone help with the best method please.

I found some random programs in the extensions section.
Have a look at http://glanfordelectronics.com/gelcart/index.php and see if the random effect is what you would like.
Each time the page loads, the "Special Discounted Prices" and "Featured Products" are different.
