I already installed my opencart version 1.5.3.1 and is uploaded into my host. What I would like to know, is how can I work on Opencart settings changes seeing them every time that I do some, and at the same time having people who visit my website to show a page that says under construction. I´m a newbie, would appreciate a step by step explanation. Thanks in advance!

proceed to system > settings > edit store > and set the store under maintenance. If you are logged in as admin, you will see the store as per normal. For users not login as admin, they will see the store under construction
It's worth mentioning that there are some free mods in the extension store that improve on the maintenance page that is displayed to the visitor.
