Move a module (e.g. currency) to the header?

How would i go about moving a module, such as currency, to the header box?
What files would i need to move from module/ to common/ and what code would need to be changed?

You mean something like what I've got here
http://dev.fido-x.net? I've got the currency module set up so that it can be positioned either in the header or in a column.
