I saw this mentioned on a earlier post, and thought it would be a great module to build. 

A credit card module that would store the first 4, last 4 digits of a credit card, and the CVV on the server. The middle digits of the card would be emailed to a designated email address. This would protect the customers from having card info stored on the server.

I know that zencart does this.

Think any programmers might be interested in tryin to build something like this?

I'm tryin to switch a shop over from zencart. Flat file imports and offline credit card acceptance are what i really need.

I would be very careful about e-mailing credit card numbers! ::)

I don't know how Zen-cart does it, but hopefully it uses some kind of PGP key at least - or some other form of secure encryption for the e-mail.  Goodness knows e-mails are anything but private ;)
